ARTIST BIO

Mya Renay was born in 2001 in Laguna Beach,California. In 2019, she graduated from Aliso Niguel High School with academic distinction and multiple scholarships. She currently attends California State University, Monterey Bay studying marine science and visual art. Renay has studied under multiple artists in a myriad of forms including sketch art, charcoal realism, tattooing, and collage. After graduating in 2023, started pursuing a Masters degree in history at Oregon State University. Renay is currently writing her thesis on the familial and occupational connection between a barber-surgeon and baroque artist in Viceregal Mexico. She is exerting her art practice through dance studies and is actively performing belly dance. Renay currently lives and works in Corvallis, Oregon.
